Investment in Linagora and Aria. Increase of the investment in Faab. Sale of 1001 listes to TF1 Group and Partial sale of Direct Energie to Groupe Louis Dreyfus. Sale of Arpida shares on the market.

2005    

MBO on CB News, and Telemarket, investments in Xilam (P.I.P.E.) and Ucopia Communications. Increase of our investment in Adélior. Sale of Cita's stakes in Adélior and Sport Magazine.

2004    

Investments in Direct Energie, Arpida, Synerway and Faab. Sale of Kelkoo to Yahoo!. A. Al Gabandi becomes President of Cita Gestion, replacing F. Al Rashed.

2003    

Investments in 1001 listes, La Toulousaine, Adelior, Sport, Médias et Stratégie and Locamex Holding. Acquisition of Allocine.

2002    

Investment in Travelprice.com, eventually bought by Lastminute.com. Michel Bouissou becomes chairman of CITA.

2001    

€ 76 million raised for CITA FCPR1. Philippe Queveau is Managing Director of CITA Gestion (President : Dr Fahed Al-Rashed). Significant round of financing for NPTV. Sale of SFPT. Investment in L4 Logistics.

2000    

Investment in Kelkoo. Creation of CITA Gestion.

1999    

Investments in Actelion and NPTV. The portfolio exceeds 35 lines of investments and a valuation of FF 2 billion. Patrick Plouvier joins CITA.

1997    

IPO of REP and ETAM, LMBO on SFPT (Skiing area of Avoriaz).

1996    

Investments in Porcher Industries, Nicodeme, Qwam System, Partenaires Livres. GAN sells CFJPE to BNP and Natexis. BNP and Natexis thus become shareholders of CITA and members of the Board.

1995    

LMBO on REP. Third increase in capital of CITA. 

1994    

Philippe Queveau joins CITA. Investment in ETAM. Elf sells its CITA shares to CFJPE (GAN Group).

1993    

 IPO of SIDEL in Paris.

1992    

CITA chooses the French status of an SCR (« venture-capital company »). Second increase in capital of CITA.

1990    

Investment in Genoyer.

1989    

Distribution of the first dividend, and first increase in capital of the company.

1988    

Dr. Fahed Al-Rashed becomes President of CITA. Dominique de la Martinière is Vice-President. 

1987    

CITA initiates the LMBOs on Nobel Plastiques and SIDEL. IDI sells its CITA shares to GAN.

1986    

 Henri Biard joins CITA as deputy Managing Director.

1985    

Creation of the Investment Company in Advanced Technologies (CITA). The purpose of the company is to develop economic and commercial cooperation between France and Kuwait. CITA is created on equal terms by major financial institutions of both countries : Elf, Paribas and IDI for France, KFTCIC (Kuwait Investment Authority), IBK (Kuwait Investment Authority) and KPC (Kuwait Petroleum Corporation) for Kuwait. The initial capital of the Paris-based company is FF 100 million.

The first President of CITA is Mr Dominique de la Martinière.
